My field of paper roses
and blue candy clouds
rest under my purple evening sky
as I stare off into the distance.
It is my world, my paradise,
the place I can run away to.
The night is almost over,
my red sun will rise soon,
and the monsters will
drag me back to reality.
But for now,
let me stay where the darkness whispers
gently in my ears,
and the winds tell a story as they blow
gently through my hair.
My red sun rises.
I let myself be consumed
by the monsters from reality,
returning to this place
and yearning to go back
to the paradise I have come to know as
my imagination.
