Ordinary Day

It was just an ordinary day
in the desert of bones.
I had just arrived to the rock of sermons
and the Sinners of the Rock compared me
to the Demons of the Desert.
The light turned red
and I smelt God’s shame.

The rain started to boil,
my tears froze
and I heard the words of Him.
My eyes could see red and sin
but it was just an ordinary day.

I got the Father to turn a cheek
at my action and my soul.
But I’m the one in trouble when they turn
and say I am a sinner,
when they kneel in front of the Father,
taste the blood on their hands,
and just try to live an ordinary day.
