Dark clouds were stirring far above,
boom of cannons destroying everything I love.
A black ball of death flying toward my perch
as I flew away, it destroyed my old birch.
Memories rang out true and clear
like the huge metal bell I still could hear.
Men and horses burned my city to the ground
but me, a bird, left without a sound.
