"A Changed Child"

I was once a disorderly child
I started out on the street
I always did bad in school
because there was no criteria for me to meet

I knew kids who were taking drugs
threw their futures away
had their mommas worry’n
wish’n they would’ve stayed

They tried to give me help
but I just wouldn’t listen
There was no hope in me
‘til I found a new beginning

They gave me a chance
to escape the poverty I was in
to follow God’s word
They said we could be friends

So who are the They
who say I’m worthwhile
They are the people of Loyola
They have made me a changed child
